I use google and yahoo to advertise some of my products but i dont know which keywords are best for searches. I see the top sponsors on google but how can i find out what keywords they used for their campaign or is that too underhanded?

Steve, you are in luck. There is a piece of software that does just what you are asking for and more. Not only can you get what keywords your competition is using but all of their campaigns as well.
Take a look at The-Elite-Affiliate.com. Good stuff. I use it.
