The Apple Store has been down for an extended period tonight, according to Twitter reports. While such downtime sometimes precedes a new product release or price changes, that seems somewhat unlikely here: Apple would never release a big new product on a Saturday night, one week before its big iPad release.
So, we’re not banking on any major revelations when the store comes back up … except maybe an iPhone 4G with lasers.
UPDATE: After a few hours of downtime, the store is back online.
